The three villas at the right of the Maldives drawing shrink as they go, which is how the line ends rather than stopping: the last one is barely a roof and a post.
What is in the drawing
Tall slabs open the left, the first of them very wide with a rounded top and long openings ruled inside it. Two more follow, stepped. A swept sail comes next, its edge notched down one side. A pitched pavilion follows over a zigzag base. A smaller pavilion comes after it. A dome holds the center on a low arcaded block with a finial. A tall shaft rises past it, then a banded minaret with a bulbed cap. A wide gabled roof follows, and three water villas close the right, each drawn smaller than the one before.
Mug or canvas
2.532 against a ceiling of 2.14 puts the size on the length, and the drawing settles low in the wrap. Coverage 0.088, the smallest of the three villas being the finest work in it, so 24 by 16 upward.
